Well, that’s a wrap! The WheresWilly crew just completed its last dam inspection of the year – just before the snow showed up this weekend. It was a great season with our favorite Jeep “Willy” reacking up the kms, taking us from east of Peterborough to west of Dryden, Ontario. Annual dam inspections are an important element of a dam’s Surveillance Plan allowing MKE to identify, monitor, and assess issues to help dam oweners build Preventative Maintenance Plans and scope out Rehabiliation Projects, when required. This year our team founda lot of superficial damage from last spinrg’s ice storm, increased leakage through some older structures, bulging concrete, and some new sinkholes.
